How it Works
Traditional yellow or orange acrylic lenses block large portions of the blue spectrum (400ā480 nm), which often removes the very wavelengths that produce coral fluorescence. The TrueReef lens uses a blue monomer coating that reflects a portion of HEV light instead of simply absorbing it, keeping the delicate near-UV glow (around 420 nm and below). This provides:
